Daily amount of food:
The food intake of birds varies between 8% and 10% of their body weight.
Medium-sized species (e.g. African grey parrots, amazons) consume around 35-40 g Vital Pellets per day.
Feeding Instruction:
Our "Vital Pellets" are designed to make up 100% of your parrot's diet as we have enough fruits, vegetables and berries in our recipe. However, if additional fresh fruits and vegetables are provided daily to add variety to the diet, we recommend that our mix should account for no less than 70-80% of the total intake. Parrots whose main diet is our "Vital Pellets" should not be given any other vitamin or mineral supplements. Make sure your birds have enough fresh water available at all times.
Storing the feed:
To ensure that our pellets stay fresh at all times, we have used resealable bags. You can also store the pellets in a feed bucket with the lid closed. Protect them from direct sunlight, excessive heat (+18 degrees) and all kinds of pests.
You can find the current best-before date on our packaging.
